Delozier Announces Funding for Public Facilities Upgrades, First Responders

September 15, 2026

HARRISBURG –State grant funding totaling $441,000 was awarded to two community development projects in the 88th District, according to Rep. Sheryl M. Delozier (R-Cumberland). These investments will help strengthen local services, expand public amenities and ensure the township continues to thrive for residents and businesses.

“Renovating important recreational facilities and ensuring that first responders have the space and tools needed to respond efficiently to calls are meaningful investments in our community,” said Delozier. “I was glad for the opportunity to work alongside Sen. Greg Rothman (R-34) to advocate for these grants for our districts.”

Delozier added that LSA grants are funded through state gaming revenue and expressed gratitude for the support received.

The grant awards include:
• Hampden Township Volunteer Fire Company No. 1, $168,000 to construct a pole building to provide storage and expand its ability to use training props.
• West Shore YMCA, $273,000 to demolish part of the existing YMCA in preparation for a renovation project that will encompass the lobby, administrative offices, classrooms, fitness center and locker rooms.

The funding for these projects was approved by the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA). This is an independent agency that holds fiduciary responsibility over the funding of programs and investments in Pennsylvania’s economic growth.

Questions about these grants can be directed to Delozier’s office at 717-761-4665.
