Delozier: Transportation Grants Awarded to Support 88th District Projects
3/26/2024
HARRISBURG – State grant funding from the Multimodal Transportation Fund (MTF) was awarded to three projects in the 88th Legislative District, according to Rep. Sheryl M. Delozier (R-Cumberland).

The following grants have been awarded to projects in Delozier’s district:
• Gettysburg Road Investors LLC, $250,000 to improve the access road at the intersection of Gettysburg Road and Rupp Avenue in Lower Allen Township.
• New Cumberland Borough, $250,000 to improve the streetscape throughout New Cumberland Borough.
• Pacifica Mechanicsburg LLC, $380,000 to improve intersection, roadway and pedestrian use along the Carlisle Pike in Hampden Township.

“Communities across Cumberland County and the 88th District are growing and changing,” said Delozier. “With that, we must also update our roads and infrastructure. Using state grant dollars, our municipalities can make needed improvements for current and future residents, as well as our local business owners.”

Delozier also commented on the Carlisle Pike improvement project at Beltway Commons.

“Ensuring we have appropriate roadway infrastructure and optimal traffic management measures in place is extremely important, not only to the redevelopment of this highly visible property on the Carlisle Pike, but for all who travel it.

Delozier said, “These grants were applied for by local businesses with the support of each of the municipalities. I was glad to join our municipalities to support the projects and their funding.”

The funding for these grants was approved by the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA). CFA is an independent agency that holds fiduciary responsibility over the funding of programs and investments in Pennsylvania’s economic growth.
