MECHANICSBURG — Veterans and active duty military personnel from the 88th Legislative District are invited to join state Rep. Sheryl Delozier (R-Cumberland) for breakfast on Thursday, May 11, to honor their military service. The theme of this year’s breakfast is “Breaking Barriers.”
The event will begin at 8 a.m., with doors opening at 7:30 a.m., at First Church of God Community Center,
201 E. Green St. in Mechanicsburg.
“Every year, I look forward to hosting this event to honor veterans in the district. This year is no exception, and each year I enjoy seeing the time of fellowship among veterans where they can swap stories and receive the recognition they have earned and deserve. I am once again grateful for the opportunity to say thank you to those who have served our country,” said Delozier.
A buffet-style breakfast will be provided to the veteran and his/her guest.
This year’s guest speaker is Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) Carmona C. March. She began her military career as an enlisted member of the United States Army Reserve in 1995. As a Logistics Officer, LTC March later served in various positions throughout her career and earned many awards and decorations. Currently, she is a resident student at the Army War College. LTC March has a combined Active Federal Service of 19 years, including a deployment supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. She also supported Operation Allied Refuge/Allies Welcome in 2021.
