Delozier, Kutz, Rothman to Host Identity Theft Prevention, Document Shredding Event

March 21, 2025

HARRISBURG – State Reps. Sheryl M. Delozier (R-88) and Thomas Kutz (R-87) and Sen. Greg Rothman (R-34) are partnering to host a free community-wide identity theft prevention and document shredding event for residents of their House and Senate districts who reside in Hampden or Silver Spring townships. The event will be held Saturday, April 5, from 9 a.m. to noon in the Kohl’s parking lot at 6444 Carlisle Pike, Mechanicsburg.

The legislators invite residents of Hampden and Silver Spring townships to participate in this free service and issued the following statement.

“We are pleased to work with Hampden and Silver Spring townships for the third consecutive year to help residents protect themselves from identity theft by providing a safe, secure and convenient way to dispose of documents.

“We hope our constituents will take advantage of this opportunity to do some spring cleaning while protecting themselves from fraudsters who are looking to obtain passwords, Social Security numbers and other sensitive information from their private files.”

There will be a limit of five boxes and/or bags per household. Paper that has already been shredded, three ring binders, plastic, carbon paper, metal, food wrappers and blueprints will not be accepted.

Questions about this event should be directed to Delozier’s office at 717-761-4665, Kutz’s office at 717-975-2235 or Rothman’s office at 717-787-1377.
