On Feb. 11, I participated in a legislative panel discussion hosted by Harrisburg Regional Chamber and CREDC. Following the panel, I was glad to share more of my thoughts about energy and child care affordability in Pennsylvania.
On Feb. 4, the House passed my House Resolution 399 with near-unanimous support. The resolution marks Feb. 19 as Wear Purple Day in Pennsylvania and pays tribute to Peyton Walker, and all other children and young people who’ve lost their lives to Sudden Cardiac Arrest.
On Feb. 3, the governor laid out his spending plan for Fiscal Year 2026-27. I was glad to share some of my thoughts about how we need to reach a compromise on responsible spending for the people of Pennsylvania.
I was glad to join host Anders Thoman for a recent episode of the Smoke-Filled Room. We had a great conversation about my upbringing, entrance to politics and public policy I’m proud of championing during my career in the state Legislature. I also had the opportunity to highlight some of the ways the 88th District has changed in the 18 years I’ve represented it.
Earlier this week, I participated in the annual Celebrity Feed Scurry at the Pennsylvania Farm Show! This event that raises money for the Friends of the PA Farm Show Foundation, which funds scholarships for students in agricultural fields.
Every year, I look forward to interviewing Pennsylvania's Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding at the Farm Show. We had a great discussion about the theme of this year's show, as well as agribusiness careers, the future of the industry, and more.
While volunteering at the PA Dairymen's Association's famous milkshake stand, I stepped aside to interview executive director Dave Smith. Did you know every shake supports a cause? Milkshakes fund scholarships, internships, food bank donations and more.
Ahead of the holiday season, my staff and I volunteered to pack boxes at the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank. It serves 26 counties and over 270,000 individuals every month. We were glad to help our friends and neighbors in need this Christmastime.
We recently unveiled Cumberland County's own America250PA bell in downtown Carlisle. For a more in-depth look at the bell and all the history it symbolizes, watch this short video! It was a pleasure to help unveil this new tribute to our county.
